These are some crazy times, but I just wanted to come in here briefly to let you know that we’re doing alright and we are definitely counting our blessings considering what others are going through right now. One of the weird things I was thinking is how many times my jobs were eliminated and I was thrust out there with no job and not sure what to do. However, God got me through it. I know we’ll get through this. It might take some time I realize, but the end of the tunnel will come.
At Kim’s Handcrafted Cards, we are still able to ship orders but what I have done is limit the number of new cards I add to the Shop. And, we’re only shipping once a day as orders come in. You can also be sure that we’re following the regulations and rules for our State of Oregon in addition to the CDC’s health recommendations of washing our hands, sterilizing, practicing social distancing (it’s only me and hubby).
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, then you know I struggle with nervous anxiety and depression and how crafting helps me battle it. I absolutely love this cardmaking industry and my hopes and prayers are that it will last forever. This is a great time to mail out cards as a great reminder that others are being thought of during this time. As a small business owner, I’m concerned about our future but I’m not frantic nor fearful. I’ve been down this road so many times that I just know it’ll be alright in the end. I guess that’s the lesson here…we can’t forget what God has done for us in the past. If He saw me through last year, last month, last week or yesterday, He’ll see me through today.
I encourage you to reach out to Him during these times, stay in the Word and let it permeate your heart and mind. I also recommend distancing from some of the negative stuff on the news and even social media. It’s okay to keep up with the latest news updates, we need to do that. What I’m saying is there’s a lot of posts that can feed your anxiety so try to stay away from as much as you can.
We love you all and are very appreciative of you! And, yes please continue to order from me as it really helps me stay afloat. I’m going to keep going and keep crafting!
