I hadn’t made any shaker cards in awhile, in fact I haven’t made any interactive cards for a long time and I was beginning to crave it like I do cheeseburgers! And, because I love the idea of borderless and no bulk, I again used Ilda’s technique. If you’re interested in how to make frameless shakers, check out my post here.
For these couple of cards, I wanted to use an encouragement sentiment that I hadn’t before so I searched through my stash and found that the messages on Simon Says Stamps’ April 2020 card kit fit the bill. At a time like this, we really need uplifting and who knew how much these messages on cards would be needed.
For my card panels, I used a background stamp from Fun Stampers Journey in Simon’s Fog ink. I wanted a subtle look so that the little goodies inside the shaker would take center stage!

One of my goals for these two cards was that I didn’t want much bulk so they could go through the mail system easily. I only added a few foam squares under the sentiment and after making the shaker part, adhered to my card base. That’s how quickly these cards came together.

And, they turned out so pretty I think! I left the inside blank for a personal message. These are in the Shop as of this post and you’ll find them here! Links to the supplies I used are below!
