Cardmaking Lookbook: Spring 2019 Edition!

It’s been awhile since I’ve done any kind of lookbook and this is the first one for my cards. The reason I waited so long to do this post is because I wasn’t feeling all that great about my early designs. I still feel so new to this craft and as I’m learning, I find I make so many mistakes and then they don’t look that great in the end… at least in my opinion.

I did think of quitting but something kept pressing me to keep trying + the small fortune I’ve spent had a lot to do with it too…LOL! The thing I had to figure out for myself is what kind of cards do I want to make and then stick to that and not try to be what I think I should be. Or, try to make cards that look like the experts. Crafting is supposed to be fun, effortless, not a job and certainly not something you dread doing. I was putting myself under way too much stress trying to be perfect. Guess what? I’M NOT! Slowly, I’m seeing some improvement though there’s still so much more to learn.

Anyhoo, enough of my babbling, I just thought if there are any other cardmakers out there new to the industry and feeling the pressure of measuring up to other crafters, don’t feel bad. And, don’t compare yourself to others. Do your own style! Handmade gifts are supposed to be Perfectly Imperfect. It’s the thought, time and effort that we put into making gifts that counts.

Soooo… these cards are made to welcome Spring and I used items from the April 2019 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit, WPlus9, MayMay Made It, Stampendous, Pink Fresh Studios. ENJOY!
